The Jean Genie #JusJoJan

The Week That Was

The Week That Was will not be seen this week so that we can bring you this special presentation, brought to you by Dolly Madison Cakes.

TWTW will return in its usual time next week.

Yes, it’s “Just Jot It January” time again! Linda Hill, who hosts this as well as Stream of Consciousness Saturday and One-Liner Wednesday, tells you how to play at her site. Today’s prompt comes to us from Barb over at Teleportingweena: SPIDER

David Bowie’s backup band in the Seventies was known as The Spiders from Mars. They were Mick Ronson on guitar and piano, Trevor Bolder on bass, and Mick “Woody” Woodmansey on drums. They were featured on Bowie’s The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars, Aladdin Sane, and Pin-Ups albums.

From Aladdin Sane, here’s “The Jean Genie.”

  1. Oh, David Bowie. Reminds me of my childhood, really. :)
