I had trouble figuring out which artist I’d feature today. Then I heard German electronic band Rivera Rotation on the Jazz Fusion channel on TuneIn this morning and thought they’d be perfect. Problem was, there isn’t a whole lot about them on the Internet. There’s a Facebook page, but it hasn’t been updated in a couple of years, and the only place I coud find any information was on BandCamp. Here is everything on that site about them:
“Rivera Rotation has something special to it. Being one of the landmark acts in the late 1990s during the electronic Lounge era, the brainchild of DJ, producer, songwriter and music activist Pete Rivera reinvented itself in the new millennium and now arrives with his second proper full length album Horsley Park.”
Anyway, Rivera Rotation is a practitioner of lounge music, which doesn’t seem much like the kind of music played back in the Fifties and Sixties, but which makes for great music to write to. Here are a couple of examples…
A Moment In Paris
A little repetetive, maybe, but as I said, great music to write to.
